Christmas Conversations #6: What’s the worst Christmas movie and why?

By Stacey Tuttle

While we are on the subject of holiday movies, it’s inevitable that there is some movie that you feel is just THE WORST. Maybe it’s a deep theological, insightful, very wise reason behind your dislike.  Or maybe there’s some absolutely hilarious backstory on why some movie is, for you, the worst?  Oh do share!  We love a good giggle!

Oh, Oh!!!  ME First!!!  OK – I think the story is absolutely amazing, powerful, wonderful and even genius.  I do.  And apparently so does the rest of the world.  And I question if sitcom writers are especially fond of it, not so much for its depth and power, but more for its reproduceability (is that a word?!)…because Charles’ Dickens’ A Christmas Carol gets reproduced more than any other story, maybe in the history of the world (or maybe it just feels like that at Christmastime … I’d be curious to see some stats on that!).  It’s like going to Chinatown and finding a million bad knock-offs of Prada bags…(and all spelled Prado…anyone see Serendipity?!)  So for me, I have to say the BEST Christmas story has become also the WORST Christmas story.

How about you???  Do share!
