Opening Quote:  Life in space…nothing to carry sound.  No air pressure. Life is impossible.

Matt:  Tell you one thing—can’t beat the view.

Ryan:  The silence.  I could get used to it.

Matt:  Houston, I have a bad feeling about this mission.  It’s the same feeling I had about Mardi Gras.
Houston:  Affirmative.    We haven’t heard this one yet.

Ryan:  Should we be worried [about the danger of debris from the exploding missile strike]?
Matt:  People in Houston will worry.

Matt:  I know you never realized how devastatingly handsome I am, but, but I need you to focus.

Ryan:  They can’t hear us.
Matt:  We don’t know that for sure.  They might hear us.  That’s why we keep talking.

Ryan:  Oxygen down to 2%.
Matt:  We’ll get there.  Beautiful—don’t ya think?  The sunrise?  Never get tired of it.

Matt:  What do you listen to [on the radio]?
Ryan:  Anything.  I don’t’ care—as long as they don’t talk.  I just drive.  [as Matt keeps talking.]

Ryan:  I had a daughter.  She was 4.  Slipped and hit her head.  That was it.  It was the stupidest thing.  I was driving when I got the call.  So that’s what I do.  I get up, go to work, and I drive.

Matt:  Sip, not gulp.  Wine, not beer.

Ryan:  I had you.  I had you.

Matt:  You’ve flown?
Ryan:  Only a simulator.  But I crashed it.
Matt:  That’s what they’re for.
Ryan:  Every time.  I crashed it every time.

Matt:  Ryan, you’re going to have to learn to let go.  I wanna hear you say:  I’m gonna make it.

Matt:  What kind of a name is Ryan for a girl?
Ryan:  My Dad wanted a boy.

Matt:  So now that we have some distance between us, you’re attracted to me, right?

Matt:  Good news is, I’m going to beat Aretoli’s (?) record.

Ryan:  Oh, come on!  You’ve been yammering since we left Cape Canaveral.  Now you’re silent?  Come on!

Ryan:  To confirm, this is Ryan Stone, the sole survivor.

Ryan:  Clear skies with a chance of satellite debris.

Ryan:  I hate space.

Ryan:  I know, we’re all gonna die.  But I’m gonna die today.

Ryan:  No one will mourn for me.  No one will pray for my soul.  Will you mourn for me?  Will you pray for me?  I mean I’d pray for myself, but I’ve never prayed—nobody ever taught me how.

Matt:  I found a little extra back up power.  It helps I didn’t have you around to distract me.  I gotta tell you, I didn’t think you were going to make it.

Matt:  There’s nobody that can hurt you.  It’s safe.  What’s the point of going on?  You’re kid died.  It doesn’t get any roughter than that.

Ryan:  Undocking from Tiangong and I have a bad feeling about this mission.

Ryan:  2 possible outcomes:  either I make it down there in one piece and I have one hell of a story, or I burn up—either way it will be one hell of a ride.
