“Connecting Life to Christ” : A bridge’s purpose is to connect people from one thing to another.  It has a strong foundation and reaches wide SO THAT it can do this.  At Bridges527, this is our driving purpose.  Theology and Christian living are what makes it possible, but this idea of pointing out how different areas of our lives connect to Christ is our heartbeat.

In his book, Eternity in their Hearts, Don Richardson writes about how every culture has a redemptive story, a story that points to Christ and the one true God, if only you have eyes to see it.  Our American culture is full of these redemptive stories.  In fact, we believe that all good stories are only good because they borrow from God’s story.  He is the original author, the God of all—how can we tell any (good) story or truth that doesn’t originate in Him?

Not only do we see connections in our culture and our stories, but God says He’s written His truth in the stars.  All of nature testifies to Him—even the rocks cry out.  Our aim is show you ways all that of life connects to Christ so that you may begin to see Him in all things.   As it is written, “The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. ¹⁶ For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. ¹⁷ He is before all things, and in him all things hold together’” (Colossians 1:15-17).
